What is Astaxanthin?
Astaxanthin is one of the strongest antioxidants in the world and is therefore mainly used in the area of nutritional supplements. In nature, astaxanthin gives salmon its typical orange-red color. The largest producer of the carotenoid is the relatively small microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. It naturally enriches the astaxanthin in large quantities and therefore offers the most sustainable way of extracting the free radical scavenger.

We rely on our many years of experience with the organism. In our greenhouses, we are also building a spirulina production in open pond systems on an area of 5000 m².
Together with partners from various institutions, we are constantly developing our cultivation systems and researching new products made from microalgae.
